Finty Woolf is a multi-interdisciplinary Sonic Artist, Composer, Clarinetist and Visual Artist based in London.
Focusing on sound worlds and melodic instrumental lines to create a blend of soundscape, structured composition and self performed instrumental improvisation. Often guided by Woolfs own artwork of nature and surrealist worlds.
Working with detailed non-improvisatory graphic scores, recently for with Tearworks Studios and Union Chapel Organ.
Also working within, traditionally notated orchestral works, recorded with The Bauhaus Band and Guildhall Session orchestra. As well as notation in chamber and small ensemble settings, recently working with The National Gallery and Courtauld Gallery in this setting.
Furthermore Woolf is a Contemporary Classical and Improvisatory Clarinetist. Performing in Guildhall WBP showcases as well as solo clarinet recitals performing works more recently such as Fantaise by Widman and Three Pieces for Clarinet by Stravinsky.
As a member of Live Electronics Orchestra and multiple bands, clarinet is used as an improvised addition, focusing on extended techniques and melodic improvisation.
